I’m Ruby.

I’m a partner, a sister, an auntie, and friend. I’ve worked through difficult relationships and live within the same community and systems as you do. As a therapist, educator, and consultant, I’m here to support you on your journey to mental health and wellness.

FOR NEARLY A DECADE

I’ve supported people on their unique journeys of self discovery and healing.

With a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from Northern Arizona University and a Master's in Counseling from Oregon State University, I bring a unique blend of experience and education to my practice. Over the past decade, I've worked in various roles, including aiding refugees, coordinating outdoor education programs for teenagers, managing public health education programs, and counseling unhoused youth. In all of my work, I emphasize the values of personal agency, community, pleasure, and advocacy.

My therapeutic approach centers around creating a non-judgmental, playful, and empowering place where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I firmly believe that healing and growth are most successful when rooted in a deep and holistic understanding of each person. This belief extends to my roles as a trainer and consultant, where I am able to broaden my reach and provide people and organizations with practical tools for healing and wellness. My ultimate goal remains the same across all my work: to support clients on a transformative journey of self-discovery, empowerment, and positive change, both on an individual level and within our broader community.

  • I believe a sense of belonging is essential to wellness. I am committed to leveraging my power and privilege to initiate the changes needed to make my community a welcoming and supportive place for people of all identities and lived experiences.

  • I believe everyone has the right to pleasure. I empower clients to access what makes them feel good in their bodies, mind, & environment.

  • I am committed to advocating for clients individually while fighting for the systems-change necessary to promote community-wide health.

My Values

“Caring for myself is not self indulgence, it is self preservation, and that is an act of political warfare.
